Curriculum

Curriculum of DAV Sanskriti School is premised upon mentoring the students (6-18 yrs) in such a way that they achieve their full potential- academically, socially, emotionally, physically and as well as spiritually. Objectives are to create noble human beings, decent citizens with high moral character with healthy family and social values, contributing greatly to the society.

To achieve these objectives, a curriculum has been developed over the years for DAVS School, keeping in view the needs of today's generation and in consonance with the Vedic principles. It is updated as needed, with ever-improvement in mind.

DAVSS Curriculum constitutes of 3 major components:

  1. 'Naitik Shiksha' i.e. Ethics/Morals Education
  2. Hindi (The most spoken national language of India).
  3. Extra Curricular Activities

1. 'Naitik Shiksha' (Ethics/Morals Education)

Naitik Shiksha primarily imparts the basic human values such as: Righteousness, Truth, Non- violence, Respect for parents & elderly, Compassion, Respect for other faiths /opinions and service to the mankind.

Naitik Shiksha Curriculum:

Naitik Shiksha Curriculum constitutes Hindu moral values based on age old Indian wisdom and traditions in Five Binders for students of different ages. Each binder starts with a prayer in the form of a Ved Mantra such as Gaayatri Mantra wherein inspiration and guidance for our intellect in the right direction is sought.

After the prayer, each binder has selected verses the Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad Geeta translated in English, to give students noble inspirations. Classic Sanskrit maxims- Subhaashitas are also utilized as source of guidance for highest moral values.

Sincere effort has been made to cover almost all the aspects of Vedic Values like faith in God and in Vedas, trust in one's own self, faith in Karma philosophy, etc. by means of of instructive and inspirational small stories. Ramayan, Mahabharat and lives of great Indian saints and sages and national leaders also constitute as the sources of lessons for students. In short, Naitik Shiksha curriculum represents all that is pious, noble and exemplary in Indian history and culture .
